Hadith No: 3

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said, "Paradise and the Fire (Hell) argued, and the Fire (Hell) said, "I have been given the privilege of receiving the arrogant and the tyrants.' Paradise said, 'What is the matter with me? Why do only the weak and the humble among the people enter me?' On that, Allah said to Paradise. 'You are My Mercy which I bestow on whoever I wish from my servants.' Then Allah said to the (Hell) Fire, 'You are my (means of) punishment by which I punish whoever I wish of my slaves. And each of you will have its fill.' As for the Fire (Hell), it will not be filled till Allah puts His Foot over it whereupon it will say, 'Enough! Enough!' At that time it will be filled, and its different parts will come closer to each other; and Allah will not wrong any of His created beings. As regards Paradise, Allah will create a new creation to fill it with."

Hadith No: 4

Narrated Abu Sa`id:

I heard the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) saying, "Our Lord Allah will lay bare His Shin, and then all the believing men and believing women will prostrate themselves before Him, but there will remain those who used to prostrate in the world for showing off and for gaining good reputation. But the moment such people will try to prostrate (on the Day of Judgment) their back swill become as stiff as if it is one bone (a single vertebra).

The Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said, "The Hell Fire will keep on saying: 'Are there anymore (people to come)?' Till the Lord of Honor will put His Foot over it and then it will say, 'Qat! Qat! (Enough! Enough!) by Your Power and Honor. And its various sides will come close to each other (i.e., it will contract). "

Narrated Anas:

The Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said, "People will be thrown into Hell (Fire) and it will keep on saying, 'Is there any more?' till the Lord of the worlds puts His Foot over it, whereupon its different sides will come close to each other, and it will say, 'Qad! Qad! (enough! enough!) By Your Honor and Your Generosity!' Paradise will remain spacious enough to accommodate more people until Allah will create some more people and let them dwell in the superfluous space of Paradise. "

Hadith No: 7

Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri:

We said, "O Allah's Messenger (s.a.w.a.)! Shall we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?" ...

They will say, 'We parted with them (in the world) when we were in greater need of them than we are today, we heard the call of one proclaiming, 'Let every nation follow what they used to worship,' and now we are waiting for our Lord.' Then the Almighty will come to them in a shape other than the one which they saw the first time, and He will say, 'I am your Lord,' and they will say, 'You are not our Lord.' And none will speak: to Him then but the Prophets, and then it will be said to them, 'Do you know any sign by which you can recognize Him?' They will say. 'The Shin,' and so Allah will then uncover His Shin whereupon every believer will prostrate before Him and there will remain those who used to prostrate before Him just for showing off and for gaining good reputation. These people will try to prostrate but their backs will be rigid like one piece of a wood (and they will not be able to prostrate).

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said, "Paradise and Hell (Fire) quarreled in the presence of their Lord. Paradise said, 'O Lord! What is wrong with me that only the poor and humble people enter me ?' Hell (Fire) said I have been favored with the arrogant people.' So Allah said to Paradise, 'You are My Mercy,' and said to Hell, 'You are My Punishment which I inflict upon whom I wish, and I shall fill both of you.'" The Prophet added, "As for Paradise, (it will be filled with good people) because Allah does not wrong any of His created things, and He creates for Hell (Fire) whomever He will, and they will be thrown into it, and it will say "is there more" (Q'af: 30) thrice, 'till Allah (will put) His Foot over it and it will become full and its sides will come close to each other and it will say, 'Enough! Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported:

Some people during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) said: Messenger of Allah! shall we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection? The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) said: Yes, ...

He (Allah) will say: I am your Lord. They will reply: We take refuge with Allah from thee and do not associate anything with Allah. They would repeat it twice or thrice, till some of them would be about to return. He will ask: Is there any sign between you and Him by which you will recognise Him? They would say: Yes. Then He will uncover his shin. Then there would remain none who used to prostrate to Allah by themselves...

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (s.a.w.a.) as saying:

The Hell and the Paradise fell into dispute and the Hell said: I have been dis- tinguished by the proud and the haughty. And the Paradise said: What is the matter with me that the meek and the humble amongst people and the downtrodden and the simple enter me? Thereupon Allah said to the Paradise: You are (the means) of My Mercy whereby I show mercy to those of My servants whom I wish, and He said to the Hell: You are (the means) of punishment whereby I punish those of My servants whom l wish. Both of you will be full. The Hell will not be filled up until Allah puts down His foot in it. The Hell would say: Enough, enough, and at that time it will be filled up, all its parts integrated together.
