Hadith No: 1

Al-Wahid al-Bahbahani - Al-Rasa'il al-Fiqhiyyah - Page: (208)

- Also, what he said in his sermon at Mina where he stated: "O people, whatever comes to you from me that agrees with the Book of Allah, then I have said it, and whatever comes to you that contradicts the Book of Allah, then I have not said it, and the sermon is well-known and recognized by all."

- From Abu Abdillah, Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), who said: The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) delivered a sermon at Mina, saying: "O people, whatever comes to you from me that agrees with the Book of Allah, then I have said it, and whatever comes to you that contradicts the Book of Allah, then I have not said it" - *Al-Kafi*, Part: (1), Page: (69), Sahih.

- From Ayyub ibn al-Hurr, who said: I heard Abu Abdillah, Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) say: "Everything is referred back to the Book and the Sunnah, and any hadith that does not agree with the Book of Allah is embellishment" - *Al-Kafi*, Part: (1), Page: (69), Sahih.

130 - From him, from Abu Ayyub al-Madayini, from Ibn Abi Umayr, from both Hishams and others, who said: "The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) delivered a sermon, saying: O people, whatever comes to you from me that agrees with the Book of Allah, then I have said it, and whatever comes to you that contradicts the Qur'an, I have not said it."

- [21414] 3 - Muhammad ibn Mas'ud al-Ayyashi in his Tafsir: from Hisham ibn al-Hakam, from Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said in a sermon at Mina or Mecca: O people, whatever comes to you from me that conforms to the Quran, I have said it, and whatever comes to you from me that does not conform to the Quran, I have not said it.

- [21415] 4 - From Isma'il ibn Abi Ziyad al-Sakuni, from Ja'far, from his father, from Ali (peace be upon him) who said in a narration: Whatever conforms to the Book of Allah, take it, and whatever contradicts the Book of Allah, leave it.

- [21416] 5 - From Muhammad ibn Muslim who said: Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him) said: O Muhammad, whatever comes to you in a narration from a righteous or wicked person that conforms to the Quran, take it, and whatever comes to you in a narration - from a righteous or wicked person - that contradicts the Quran, do not take it.

- [21417] 6 - From Ayyub ibn al-Hurr who said: I heard Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him) say: Everything is referred back to the Book and the Sunnah, and every hadith that does not conform to the Quran is embellishment.

- [21418] 7 - From Kulayb al-Asadi who said: I heard Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him) say: Whatever comes to you from us in a narration that is not confirmed by the Book of Allah is embellishment.

Al-Baha'i al-Amili's father - *Wusul al-Akhyar ila Usul al-Akhbar* - Page Number: (180)

- From Abu ‘Abdullah (peace be upon him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, every truth has a reality, and every right thing has a light, so whatever agrees with the Book of Allah, take it, and whatever contradicts the Book of Allah, leave it."


- From Abu ‘Abdullah (peace be upon him) who said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) delivered a sermon in Mina, saying: "O people, whatever reaches you from me that agrees with the Book of Allah, I have indeed said it; and whatever reaches you that contradicts the Book of Allah, I did not say it."


- From Ayyub ibn al-Hurr, who said: I heard Abu ‘Abdullah (peace be upon him) say: "Everything is referred back to the Book and the Sunnah, and every narration that does not agree with the Book of Allah is trick."

Al-Allama Al-Majlisi - Bihar Al-Anwar

From Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him), he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and upon His Family) said in a sermon in Mina or Mecca: "O people, whatever comes to you from me that aligns with the Quran, I have indeed said it; and whatever comes to you from me that does not align with the Quran, I did not say it."

From Muhammad ibn Muslim, he said: Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him and upon His Family) said: "O Muhammad, whatever comes to you in a narration, whether from a righteous or a corrupt person, that aligns with the Quran, accept it; and whatever comes to you in a narration, whether from a righteous or a corrupt person, that contradicts the Quran, do not accept it."

From Sadeer, he said: Abu Ja'far and Abu Abdullah (peace be upon both of them) said: "Do not believe in anything about us except what aligns with the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet (peace be upon him)."

From Al-Hasan ibn Al-Jahm, from the Righteous Servant (peace be upon him), he said: "If there come to you two differing narrations, compare them to the Book of Allah and to our traditions; if one resembles them, it is true, and if it does not resemble them, it is false."

What Imam Abu Abdullah Al-Sadiq (A.S.) narrated from his grandfather (A.S.), the Messenger (S.A.W.A.A.S.), who said: The Prophet delivered a sermon in Mina and said: "O people, whatever comes to you from me that aligns with the Book of Allah, I have indeed said it; and whatever comes to you that contradicts the Book of Allah, I did not say it."

From Abu Abdullah (Peace be upon Him), he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and His Family) said: "Indeed, every truth has a reality, and every right has a light. So whatever aligns with the Book of Allah, take it; and whatever contradicts the Book of Allah, leave it."

From Abu Abdullah Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), he said: The Prophet (Peace be upon him and His Family) delivered a sermon in Mina and said: "O people, whatever comes to you from me that aligns with the Book of Allah, I have indeed said it; and whatever comes to you that contradicts the Book of Allah, I did not say it."

From Jamil ibn Darraj, from Abu Abdullah Al-Sadiq (Peace be upon him and His Family), he said: "Holding back at the point of doubt is better than plunging into destruction. Indeed, every truth has a reality, and every right has a light. So whatever aligns with the Book of Allah, take it; and whatever contradicts the Book of Allah, leave it."

And in the authentic narration from him (peace be upon him), he said: The Prophet (Peace be upon him and His Family) delivered a sermon in Mina and said: "O people, whatever comes to you from me that aligns with the Book of Allah, I have indeed said it; and whatever comes to you that contradicts the Book of Allah, I did not say it."

From Jabir, from Abu Ja'far (peace be upon him), he said: "Consider our matter and what comes to you from us; if you find it aligning with the Quran, then take it, and if you do not find it aligning, then reject it. And if the matter confuses you, then pause at it and refer it back to us, and we will explain to you from it what has been explained to us."

Tahrirat fi Al-Usul

- In Tafsir Al-Ayyashi from Muhammad ibn Muslim, he said: **Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him) said: "O Muhammad, whatever comes to you in a narration, whether from a righteous or a corrupt person, that aligns with the Quran, accept it; and whatever comes to you in a narration, whether from a righteous or a corrupt person, that contradicts the Quran, do not accept it."

- And among them: what is in Al-Kafi, reported from Hisham ibn Al-Hakam and others, from Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him), he said: The Prophet (Peace be upon Him and His Family) delivered a sermon in Mina and said: "O people, whatever comes to you from me that aligns with the Book of Allah, I have indeed said it; and whatever comes to you that contradicts the Book of Allah, I did not say it."

- From Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him): The Prophet (peace be upon him and His Family) gave a sermon in Mina and said: "O people, whatever reaches you from me that is in accordance with the Book of God, then I have indeed said it; and whatever reaches you that contradicts the Book of God, then I have not said it."


- From Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him) in a narration: "Indeed, every truth has a reality, and every rightness has a light. So whatever is in accordance with the Book of God, take it; and whatever contradicts the Book of God, leave it."


- And in the reliable narration of Ayyub ibn Rashid from Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him): "Whatever narration does not align with the Qur’an is mere embellishment."

Hadith No: 15

- From Ja'far, from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family), that he gave a sermon and said: "The narration will spread about me, so whatever reaches you from me that is in accordance with the Qur’an is from me, and whatever reaches you from me that contradicts the Qur’an is not from me."


- And from Ali (peace be upon him): "There will be narrators narrating about me, so present it to the Qur’an; if it agrees with the Qur’an, take it, and if not, leave it."

Sheikh al-Saduq - Uyoon Akhbar al-Ridha

Among them is the saying of Imam al-Ridha (peace be upon him): "Whatever comes to you from two differing reports, present them against the Book of Allah. Whatever you find in the Book of Allah as permissible or prohibited, follow that which agrees with the Book, and whatever is not found in the Book, present it against the traditions of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny)."
