They observed and then returned, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was in a cloak belonging to Umm Salamah, and he brought them into the cloak, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was close to Umm Salamah.
I said: This is a mursal narration with a sound chain, and it includes an observation.

Al-'Allamah al-Majlisi - Bihar al-Anwar
Volume: (101) - Hadith Number: (49)
12 - In a narration by Ibn Abi Ayyash from him, he said: I asked Miqdad about Ali (peace be upon him), and he said: We used to travel with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) before he instructed his wives to observe the veil, and he [Ali] served the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) as he had no servant other than him. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had a single blanket with no other blanket, and Aisha was with him. So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) would sleep between Ali (peace be upon him) and Aisha, with no other blanket over them. When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) rose at night to pray, he would lift the blanket with his hand from the middle between himself and Aisha, so that the blanket would touch the bedding beneath them, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) would rise and pray.
Al-‘Allamah al-Hilli - Khulasat al-Aqwal
Page Numbers: (83, 206, and 207)
- … Al-Hilli said: Ibn Uqda has mentioned for him in *Rijal Amir al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him)* narrations about him, and the book is fabricated, without doubt, and there are signs indicating what we have mentioned.
- … And he said in his biography of Aban: A Tabi’i, very weak, who narrated from Anas ibn Malik and narrated from Husayn (peace be upon him): He is not to be relied upon.
- … And he said in his biography: The most prudent approach regarding what he narrates is to withhold judgment, due to Ibn al-Ghada’iri’s testimony of weakness concerning him.
- … Likewise, our Shaykh al-Tusi (may Allah have mercy on him) said in *Kitab al-Rijal*: Weak.
Muhammad Ali al-Ardabili - Jami’ al-Ruwat
Volume: (1) - Page Numbers: (9 and 374)
- … Al-Ardabili said: Aban ibn Abi Ayyash is a Tabi’i, weak.
- … No one other than Aban narrated [from him].
Sayyid Ali al-Burujirdi - Taraa’if al-Maqal
Volume: (2) - Page Number: (7)
- … Sayyid Ali al-Burujirdi said in the biography of Aban: “A weak Tabi’i … not to be relied upon,” and even if the narration were authentic, it would not be disparaging, given the utmost trust of the Greatest Prophet in Ameerul Momineen (peace be upon him).
