12027 - Abu Sa'id al-Khudri said: We were at the house of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) with a group of migrants and helpers, and he said: "Shall I not inform you of your best ones?" They said, "Yes." He said: "Those who are faithful and well-scented. Indeed, Allah loves the humble and pious." And he passed by Ali ibn Abi Talib and said: "The truth is with this one, the truth is with this one." Abu Ya'la narrated it, and its narrators are trustworthy.

12031 - Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Taymi narrated that so-and-so entered the city as a pilgrim, and people came to him, greeting him. Sa'd entered, greeted him, and said: "And this did not call us to our right against the falsehood of others?" He fell silent. Then Malik said: "Do not speak." He replied: "A trial and darkness has arisen." He then said to my camel: "Ugh, ugh!" and knelt until it cleared. Then a man said: "I have read the Book of Allah from beginning to end and did not see 'ugh, ugh' in it." He replied: "Well, since you said that, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) say: 'Ali is with the truth, or the truth is with Ali, wherever he may be.'" The man asked: "Who heard that?" He said: "He said it in the house of Umm Salama." So he sent for Umm Salama and asked her, and she said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said it in my house." Then the man said to Sa'd: "You have never been someone I would blame less than you are now." Sa'd replied: "And why is that?" The man said: "If I had heard this from the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), I would have remained a servant to Ali until I die." This was narrated by al-Bazzar, and in it is Sa'd ibn Shu'ayb, whom I do not know, but the rest of its men are reliable.

12032 - Zaid ibn Wahb narrated, saying: While we were around Hudhayfa, he said: "How will you be when the people of a household of your Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) emerge as two factions, striking each other's faces with swords?" We said, "O Abu Abd Allah, will that really happen?" One of his companions said, "O Abu Abd Allah, what should we do if we witness that time?" He said: "Look for the faction that calls to the matter of Ali and cling to it, for it is on guidance." Al-Bazzar narrated it, and its narrators are trustworthy.

14769 - Narrated from Jariy ibn Sumra who said: When there was an incident between the people of Basra and Ali ibn Abi Talib, I set out until I reached Medina and went to Maymuna bint al-Harith (she was from Banu Hilal). I greeted her, and she said: From whom are you, man? I replied: From the people of Iraq. She asked: From which part of Iraq? I said: From the people of Kufa. She inquired: From which family in Kufa? I said: From Banu Amir. She said: Welcome! Come closer upon closeness, and be greeted upon openness! What brings you here? I replied: There was something between Ali and Talha and al-Zubayr. So I came and pledged allegiance to Ali. She said: Go and stay with him, for by Allah, he did not go astray, nor would he lead you astray, even if she repeated it three times. This was narrated by al-Tabarani, and its narrators are the men of sahih, except for Hri ibn Sumra, who is trustworthy.
