Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili - Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili - 43: From the Musnad of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri
Volume: (2) - Hadith Number: (318)
1052 - Muhammad ibn Ubbad al-Makki narrated to us, saying: Abu Sa'id narrated to us, from Sadaqah ibn al-Rabi'ah, from 'Imarah ibn Ghaziyah, from Abdur Rahman ibn Abu Sa'id, from his father, who said: We were at the house of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) with a group of migrants and helpers when he came out to us and said: "Shall I not inform you of your best ones?" We said: "Certainly." He said: "Your best ones are those who are faithful and fragrant. Indeed, Allah loves the humble and the pious." And he passed by Ali ibn Abi Talib and said: "The truth is with this one, the truth is with this one."

2810 - Ahmad ibn Yahya al-Kufi narrated to us, who said: Abu Ghassan narrated to us, who said: Amr ibn Hareth narrated to us, from Tariq ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Zayd ibn Wahb, who said: While we were around Hudhayfa, he said: "How will you be when the family of your Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) emerge in two groups, with some of you striking each other's faces with swords?" We said, "O Abu Abdillah, will that really happen?" He replied, "Yes, by the One who sent Muhammad (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) with the truth, it will happen." Some of his companions said, "O Abu Abdillah, what should we do if we witness that time?" He said: "Look for the group that calls to the matter of Ali (ra) and stick with it, for it is on guidance."

- Al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abdullah al-Muqri' narrated to me, saying: Ahmad ibn al-Farj ibn Mansur al-Warraq narrated to us, saying: Yusuf ibn Muhammad ibn Ali al-Maktab narrated to us in the year 328 AH, saying: Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad ibn Sulayman al-Siraj narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Salam ibn Salih narrated to us, saying: Ali ibn Hashim ibn al-Barid narrated to us, from his father, from Abu Sa'id al-Tamimi, from Abu Thabit, the freedman of Abu Dharr, who said: "I entered upon Umm Salamah and saw her weeping, mentioning Ali (peace be upon him), and she said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) say: "Ali is with the truth, and the truth is with Ali, and they will not be separated until they return to me at the Pond (of Hawd) on the Day (of Judgment)."'"

Then you went out fighting him over the blood of Uthman." Then Ali entered upon them, greeted them, and said: "O companion of the howdah, Allah has commanded you to remain in your house," and then you went out fighting. Will you not travel?" She replied, "I will travel ...."

241 - Abu al-Abbas al-Muhammadi narrated to us, saying: Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ubaydullah narrated to us, saying: Abu Umar and Uthman ibn Ahmad ibn Ubaydullah al-Duqqaq, known as Ibn al-Sammaak, both narrated to us from Abdullah ibn Thabit al-Muqri', who said: My father narrated to me from al-Hudhaili, from Muqatil, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn Abbas, who said: {And whoever takes Allah} (Surah al-Ma'idah 5:56), means loves Allah; {and His Messenger} (Surah al-Ma'idah 5:56), means Muhammad; {and those who believe} (Surah al-Ma'idah 5:56), means and loves Ali ibn Abi Talib; {then indeed, the party of Allah} (Surah al-Ma'idah 5:56) {are the predominant}, means the Shia of Allah and the Shia of Muhammad and the Shia of Ali are the ones who are dominant, meaning those who are elevated over all the servants, overcoming the مخالفين (those who oppose) them. Ibn Abbas said: Allah began in this verse with Himself, then followed with Muhammad, and then with Ali. Then he said: When this verse was revealed, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "May Allah have mercy on Ali. O Allah, let the truth revolve with him wherever he goes."
