720 - Ubad ibn Isa al-Ja'fi al-Kufi narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Uthman ibn Abi al-Bahlul al-Kufi narrated to us, saying: Salih ibn Abi al-Aswad narrated to us, from Hashim ibn Burayd, from Abu Sa'id al-Timi, from Thabit, the freedman of the family of Abi Dharr, from Umm Salamah, who said: "I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) say: 'Ali is with the Qur'an, and the Qur'an is with Ali; they will not part until they return to me at the Pond.'" No one narrates from Umm Salamah except with this chain of narration, which Salih ibn Abi al-Aswad and Abu Sa'id al-Timi uniquely transmitted. Abu Sa'id al-Timi was nicknamed 'Uqayqas and was from Kufa.

4880 - Al-‘Ubbad ibn Sa'id al-Ja'fi narrated to us, who said: Muhammad ibn Uthman ibn Abi al-Bahlul narrated to us, who said: Salih ibn Abi al-Aswad narrated to us, from Hashim ibn al-Barid, from Abu Sa'id al-Taimi, from Thabit, the freedman of Abu Dharr, from Umm Salamah, who said: "I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) say:'Ali is with the Quran, and the Quran is with Ali,' they will not separate until they return to the Pond." This hadith is not narrated from Thabit, the freedman of Abu Dharr, except with this chain of narration, which Salih ibn Abi al-Aswad uniquely recorded.
