Behold, I am leaving behind in you the Book of my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic." Then he took Ali's hand and said: "This is Ali with the Quran, and the Quran with Ali," they will not be separated until they return to me at the Pond, and I ask you what you will make me of them."

4 - And in al-Isabah: Abd al-Rahman ibn Bashir al-Ansari said: We were sitting with the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) when he said, "A man will strike you on the interpretation of the Qur'an as I struck you on its revelation." Abu Bakr said, "I am he, O Messenger of Allah." He replied, "No." Umar said, "I am he, O Messenger of Allah." He replied, "No, but it will be the one who is mending sandals." So we went out and found Ali mending the sandal of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) in Aisha's room, and we gave him the good news.
