4083 - Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna informed us, saying: Yahya ibn Hammad narrated to me, saying: al-Wadhaḥ, also known as Abu 'Awānah, narrated to us, saying: Abu Balj, who was Yahya ibn Abi Salim, narrated to us, saying:
Amr ibn Maymun narrated to us, saying: I was sitting with Ibn Abbas when nine men came to him and asked him about Ali (عليه السلام), and he said: "He was the first to embrace Islam among people after Khadijah (سلام الله عليها)." He wore the Prophet’s (صلى الله عليه وآله) robe and slept, and the polytheists began to throw stones at him as they were throwing at the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله), thinking he was the Prophet of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله) ....
