14690 - Ali ibn Abi Talib (ra) narrated that he said: While the Messenger of Allah ( peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was taking my hand and we were walking in one of the alleyways of the city, we passed by a garden, and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, how beautiful this garden is!" He replied, "You will have in Paradise one even more beautiful than it." Then we passed another garden, and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, how beautiful this garden is!" He said, "You will have one in Paradise that is even more beautiful," until we passed by seven gardens, and each time I would say, "How beautiful this is!" and he would say, "You will have in Paradise one even more beautiful." When the path became clear to me, he embraced me and then burst into tears. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what makes you cry?" He said, "Resentments in the hearts of some people that they will not reveal to you except after my departure." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, will I be safe in my religion?" He replied, "You will be safe in your religion." Abu Ya'la and al-Bazzar narrated this, and in it is Fadl ibn Umaira. Ibn Hibban deemed him trustworthy, while others regarded him as weak, but the rest of the men are trustworthy.
