26657 - Hussein ibn Muhammad narrated to us, who said: Al-Fudhayl, meaning Ibn Sulayman, narrated to us, who said: Muhammad ibn Abi Yahya narrated to us, from Abu Asma', the freedman of Banu Ja'far, from Abu Rafi': that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to Ali ibn Abi Talib: "There will be an incident between you and Aisha." He said, "Me, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Yes." He said, "Me?" He said, "Yes." He then asked, "Will I be the most unfortunate of them, O Messenger of Allah?" The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) answered, "No, but when that happens, return her to her place of safety."

4668 - Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hafid narrated to us, saying: Ahmad ibn Nasr narrated to us, saying: Abu Na'im al-Fadl ibn Dakin narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Jabbar ibn al-Ward narrated to us, from Ammar al-Dahhani, from Salam ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) mentioned the departure of some of the Mothers of the Believers, and Aisha laughed. He (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "Look, O Hamra, see that you are not one of them." Then he turned to Ali and said: "If you take on any responsibility regarding her, be gentle with her."

He (Ali) said, "Am I going to be the one, O Messenger of Allah?" He (the Prophet) replied, "Yes." He (Ali) asked, "Will I be the most miserable of them, O Messenger of Allah?" He (the Prophet) answered, "No, but when that happens, return her to her place of safety." Ahmad, al-Bazzar, and al-Tabarani narrated it, and its narrators are trustworthy.

He said, "Me, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Yes." He said, "Will it be among my companions?" He said, "Yes." He asked, "Then will I be the most miserable of them?" He said, "No, but when that happens, return her to her place of safety."

He said: "O Messenger of Allah, me?" He replied: "Yes." He asked: "Me from among my companions?" The Prophet said: "Yes." He inquired: "Then am I the most unfortunate of them?" The Prophet answered: "No." Ali then asked: "If that is the case, will it be resolved?" The Prophet replied: "Yes, and when that happens, send her back to her safe place."

- Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz narrated to us, saying: Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Junayd narrated to us, saying: Ahmad ibn Nasr narrated to us, saying: Abu Na'im al-Fadl ibn Dakin narrated to us, saying: Abdul Jabbar ibn al-Ward narrated to us, from Ammar al-Dahhani, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd from Umm Salamah, who said: The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) mentioned the departure of some of his wives, the Mothers of the Believers, and A'isha laughed. He said: "Look, O Humayra, that it is not you." Then he turned to Ali and said: "O Ali, if you take charge of her in any matter, be gentle with her." I said, and Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman died before her journey, and he had informed us: al-Tufayl and Amr ibn Dhalij of the journey of one of the Mothers of the Believers in a battalion, and none would say it except from hearing.

And from His Words to Ali: "There will be something between you and Aisha, and when that happens, convey to her what will keep her safe."

5612 - And he mentioned what has been narrated to us: Ibn Abi Dawud narrated to us, saying: al-Muqaddami narrated to us, saying: al-Fudayl ibn Sulayman al-Namiri narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abi Yahya narrated to us, from Abi Asma, from Abu Ja'far from Abu Rafiq that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to Ali: "There will be something between you and Aisha." He said: "And I, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "Yes." He continued: "Shall I be among my companions?" The Prophet said: "Yes." He asked: "Then shall I be the most miserable of them, O Messenger of Allah?" The Prophet replied: "No. When that happens, convey to her what will keep her safe." Thus, Ibn Abi Dawud narrated this hadith, stating that it was from Abi Asma, from Abu Ja'far, from Abu Rafiq.
