8341 - Zakariah ibn Yahya narrated to me, who said: Al-Hasan ibn Hammad narrated to us, who said: Mus'hir ibn Abd al-Malik narrated to us, from Isa ibn Umar, from al-Suddi from Anas ibn Malik, that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was with a bird and said: "O Allah, bring me Your most beloved creation to You, to eat with me from this bird." So Abu Bakr came and he dismissed him, and Umar came and he dismissed him, and Ali came, and he was given permission.

4052 - Al-Hasan ibn Hamad narrated to us, who said: Musahhar ibn Abdul Malik ibn Sal' told us, a trustworthy narrator, who said: Isa ibn Umar narrated to us from Isma'il al-Suddi from Anas ibn Malik that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was with him a bird, and he said: "O Allah, send me Your most beloved creation to eat with me from this bird." Then Abu Bakr came and he (the Prophet) dismissed him. Afterward, Umar came and he dismissed him again. Then Ali came, and he (the Prophet) granted him permission.

3841 - And Abd al-A'la ibn Wasl narrated to us, saying: Aun ibn Salam narrated to us, saying: Sahl ibn Shu'ayb narrated to us, saying: Buraydah ibn Safwan narrated to us from Sefinah, who was a servant of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), who said: Birds were gifted to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), and some of them were prepared for him. When morning came, I brought them to him, and he said: "Where did you get this?" I said: "From what was brought to you yesterday." He said: "Did I not tell you not to save food for tomorrow? Each day has its own provision." Then he said: "O Allah, send me Your most beloved creation to eat with me from this bird." And someone entered to him. He then said: "O Allah, and to me."

2633 - Dawood ibn Ali al-Hashimi, uncle of al-Mansur: .... Hussein ibn Muhammad al-Mu'allim narrated to us: Sulayman ibn Qarm, from Muhammad ibn Shu'ayb, from Dawood ibn Ali, from his father from Ibn Abbas that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was presented with a bird and he said: "O Allah, send me Your most beloved creation to You to eat with me." Then Allah sent 'Ali, and he ate with him., and Ibn Shu'ayb does not recognize Abdullah ibn Numayr.

141 - al-Mada'ini from al-Muthanna ibn Aban from Anas, who said: I was with the Prophet(peace be upon him and his holy progeny) in a garden, and there was a bird in front of him. He said, "O Lord, bring me the one I love most among Your creations to eat from it." Anas said: Then Ali came and ate with him.

- .... And in mentioning his (peace be upon him) special qualities and what Allah, the Exalted, had bestowed upon him from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him and revered), who said: There was a bird with the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), and Ali ibn Abi Talib came and ate with him. The Prophet had been supplicating, saying: "O Allah, send me the dearest of Your creatures to You and to me to eat with me from this bird," so Ali came and ate with him. This was narrated by al-Tirmidhi and also by al-Baghawi in al-Masabih.
