39 - Abdullah narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to me, from Al-Nu'man ibn Bashir Al-Makki, from Yunus, from Al-Ayizar ibn Harith, who said:
Al-Nu'man ibn Bashir said: Abu Bakr sought permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), and he heard Aisha's voice raised, as she was saying: "By Allah, I certainly know that Ali is more beloved to you than my father," twice or three times. So, Abu Bakr sought permission and entered, and he reached out to her, saying: "O daughter of so-and-so, should I not hear you raising your voice over the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny)?"
