When they saw the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), they became silent. The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to them: "What is it with you two? You were laughing, but when you saw me, you became silent." Fatimah quickly replied, saying: "May my father be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah!" He said: "This one is dearer to the Messenger of Allah than you." I said: "Rather, I am dearer to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny)." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) smiled and said: "O my daughter, you have the tenderness of a child, and Ali is more honorable to me than you."
