Al-Ajuri - al-Shari'ah
Book of Faith and Belief in the Creation of Paradise and Hellfire and that the Bliss of Paradise
will never cease for its inhabitants, and that the Torment of Hellfire will never cease for its inhabitants.
Chapter on the Mention of the Caliphate of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), and His Pure Progeny

1495 - Abu Bakr Qasim ibn Zakariya al-Mutarraz narrated to us, saying: Isma'il ibn Musa narrated to us, saying: Sharik narrated to us from Abu Rubay'ah al-Ayadi from Ibn Buraydah, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "Allah, the Almighty, commanded me to love four. It was said, 'O Messenger of Allah, who are they? Name them for us.' He said, 'Ali is one of them,'" repeating this three times, "and He commanded me to love them and informed me that He loves them."

1496 - Abu al-Qasim Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Baghawi narrated to us, saying: Yahya ibn Abd al-Hamid al-Hamani narrated to us, saying: Sharik narrated to us from Abu Rabi'ah al-Ayadi from Ibn Buraydah, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "My Lord, the Exalted, commanded me to love four, and He informed me that He loves them, and you, O Ali, are one of them. You, O Ali, are one of them," repeated three times.
