Ahmad ibn Hanbal - Fada'il al-Sahabah - Fada'il Ali (peace be upon him)
And among the virtues of Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) from the hadith of Abu Bakr ibn Malik narrated from his teachers, except for Abdullah

1092 - Ahmad ibn Abd al-Jabbar al-Sufi narrated to us, saying: Ahmad ibn al-Azhhar narrated to us, from Abd al-Razzaq, who said: From Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Ubaydullah ibn Abdillah from Ibn Abbas, who said: "The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent me to Ali ibn Abi Talib and said: 'You are a leader in this world and a leader in the Hereafter. Whoever loves you loves me, and your friend is my friend, your enemy is my enemy, and my enemy is the enemy of Allah. Woe to anyone who bears you animosity after me.'"

4234 - Abu Ya'la said: Zakariya ibn Yahya narrated to us, Nasr ibn Muzahim narrated to us, from Ja'far ibn Ziyad, from Hilal ibn Maqlas, from Abdullah ibn As'ad ibn Zurarah from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "When I was taken up to the heavens (Miraj), I was brought to a palace made of pearls, with golden limbs shimmering within it. It was revealed to me, or I was commanded in Ali, concerning three matters: that you are the master of the messengers, the imam of the pious, and the leader of those with lustrous foreheads."
