2041 - Ibn Numayr narrated to us, who said: Hajjaj narrated to us, from al-Hakam, from Muqsim, from Ibn Abbas, who said: When the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) left Mecca, Ali came out with the daughter of Hamzah, and Ali, Ja'far, and Zayd began to dispute over her before the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny). Ali said, "She is the daughter of my uncle, and I brought her out," and Ja'far said, "She is the daughter of my uncle, and her aunt is with me." Zayd said, "She is the daughter of my brother." Zayd was like a brother to Hamzah, as the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) had created a bond between them. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to Zayd, "You are my ally and her ally and said to Ali, 'You are my brother and companion.'" He said to Ja'far, "You resemble me in appearance and character, and she is with her aunt."

1131 - Al-Hasan narrated to us, who said: Abu Abdullah al-Husayn ibn Rashid al-Tafawi and al-Sabah ibn Abdullah Abu Bashar, a neighbor of Balad ibn al-Muhbir, both narrated similarly in wording, with one adding to the other. They both said: Qays ibn al-Rabi narrated to us, who said: Sa'd al-Khuffaf narrated to me from Atiyyah, from Mahdhuq ibn Zayd, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) established brotherhood among the Muslims and then said: O Ali, you are my brother, and you are to me in status like Harun to Musa, except that there is no prophet after me .... Then a caller will call from beneath the Throne: Yes, a fine father is your father Ibrahim and a fine brother is your brother Ali. Rejoice, O Ali, you will be clothed when you are clothed, called when you are called, and live when you are alive.
