8338 - Ahmad ibn Sulayman narrated to us, who said: Ubaydullah ibn Musa narrated to us, who said: al-'Ala ibn Salih narrated to us, from al-Minhāl ibn 'Amr from 'Abbad ibn Abdullah, who said: Ali said, "I am Abdullah and the brother of His Messenger (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), and I am the greatest truthful one. No one will say this after me except a liar." I prayed before the people for seven years.

8398 - Zakariya ibn Yahya narrated to me, who said: Uthman narrated to us, who said: Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, who said: Malik ibn Maghul narrated to us, from al-Harith ibn Husayra from Abu Sulayman al-Juhani, who said: I heard Ali say on the pulpit: "I am Abdullah and the brother of His Messenger" (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) "No one will say this except a lying slanderer." Then a man said, "I am Abdullah and the brother of His Messenger" (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), and he was choked and carried away.
