6923 - Al-Hasan ibn Sufyan narrated to us, saying: Abu Bakr narrated to us, saying: Malik ibn Isma'il narrated to us, saying: Mas'ud ibn Sa'd narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, from al-Fadl ibn Ma'qal, from Abdullah ibn Nayyir al-Aslami
from Amr ibn Shasis, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to me: "You have hurt me." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I do not wish to hurt you." He said, "Whoever hurts Ali has hurt me." Abu Hatim said: This is al-Fadl ibn Abdullah ibn Ma'qal ibn Sinan al-Ash'aji. Ibn Ishaq attributed him to his grandfather, and Mas'ud ibn Sa'd al-Ju'fi was a Kufi, whose kunyah was Abu Sa'd.
