- .... It was mentioned that whoever harms him has harmed the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), and whoever hates him: hates him, and whoever insults him: insults him, and whoever loves him: loves him, and whoever supports him: supports him, and whoever opposes him: opposes him, and whoever obeys him: obeys him, and whoever disobeys him: disobeys him, from 'Amr ibn Shas al-Aslami, who was one of the companions of Hudaybiyyah. He said: I went out with Ali to Yemen, and he was distant with me during the journey until I found something in myself against him. When I returned, I began to show my complaint in the mosque until this reached the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny). I entered the mosque one morning, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was with some of his companions. When he saw me, he turned his eyes towards me - saying,
"Specify (your focus) on what you see" - until when I sat down, he said: O 'Amr, by Allah, you have certainly harmed me." I said: I seek refuge with Allah to harm you, O Messenger of Allah. He replied: Yes, whoever harms Ali has harmed me." Ahmad narrated it.
- .... And from him, it was said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "Whoever loves Ali loves me, and whoever hates Ali hates me.
Whoever harms Ali harms me, and whoever harms me harms Allah, the Mighty and Exalted." Abu 'Umar al-Namiri narrated it.
