1537 - Abu Muhammad Harun ibn Yusuf narrated to us, who said: Ibn Abi Umar narrated to us, who said: al-Husayn ibn Ali narrated to us, who said: Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, who said: my father narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, fromuban ibn Salih, from al-Fadl ibn Ma'qal, from Abdullah ibn Niyar al-Aslami, from Amr ibn Shas al-Aslami, who was one of the companions of the Battle of Hudaybiyyah, who said: I went out with Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) to Yemen, and he was distant with me during that journey until I found him somewhat displeasing to me. When we returned to Medina, I complained about him in the mosque until this reached the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny). One day, I entered the mosque while the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was with some of his companions, and he fixed his gaze on me with his eyes, saying: "Be precise in your gaze at me," until I sat down.
Then he said: "O Amr, by Allah, you have indeed troubled me." I said: "I seek refuge in Allah from troubling you, O Messenger of Allah!" He replied: "Whoever troubles Ali has troubled me."
