36 - Ahmad narrated from Amr ibn Shas al-Aslami, who was one of the companions of Hudaybiyyah, who said: "I went out with Ali to Yemen, and he was distant with me during the journey until I felt something in myself against him. When I returned to Medina, I began to openly complain about him in the mosque until this reached the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny). I entered the mosque one morning, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was with a group of his companions. When he saw me, he fixed his gaze on me and began to widen his eyes, saying: 'Look at me clearly,' until he sat down
and said: 'O Amr, by Allah, you have certainly annoyed me.' I replied: 'I seek refuge in Allah from being a source of annoyance for you, O Messenger of Allah!' He said: 'Indeed, yes. Whoever annoys Ali has annoyed me.'37 - Ibn Abd al-Bar narrated it with the wording: "Whoever loves Ali loves me, and whoever dislikes Ali dislikes me.
Whoever annoys Ali has annoyed me, and whoever annoys me has annoyed Allah, the Exalted."272 - Ahmad narrated from Amr al-Aslami, who was one of the companions of Hudaybiyyah. He went out with Ali to Yemen and observed some aloofness from him. When he returned to Medina, he spread complaints about him, and the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to him: "By Allah, you have certainly annoyed me." He replied: "I seek refuge in Allah from being a source of annoyance for you, O Messenger of Allah!" The Prophet said: "Indeed, whoever annoys Ali has annoyed me." Ibn Abd al-Bar added: "Whoever loves Ali loves me, and whoever dislikes Ali dislikes me.
