By the One in whose hand is the life of Sa'd, I heard something from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) regarding Ali that if a saw were placed on my forehead, I would never curse him." 14744 - And from Abu Kathir, who said: I was sitting with Hasan ibn Ali when a man came to him and said: Ali was insulted in the presence of Mu'awiyah in a terrible way by a man named Mu'awiyah ibn Hujjaj, but he did not recognize him. He said: When you see him, bring him to me. So he saw him near the house of 'Amr ibn Hurayth and showed him to him. The man said: Are you Mu'awiyah ibn Hujjaj? He fell silent and did not respond for three times, then said: You are the one who insulted Ali in the presence of the son of the eater of livers. By Allah, if you were to meet him at the cistern, and I do not think you will, you would find him serious, bare-armed, driving away the disbelievers and hypocrites from the cistern of the Messenger of Allah (saw). This is the statement of the truthful and trusted Muhammad (saw).
