- Text of Hadith 118: Ali ibn Muhammad narrated to us, saying: Abu Muawiya narrated to us, saying: Musa ibn Muslim narrated to us, from Ibn Sabit, who was Abdul Rahman, from Saad ibn Abi Waqqas, who said: "Muawiya came during one of his pilgrimages and entered upon Saad. They mentioned Ali, and he spoke ill of him, so Saad became angry and said: 'Do you say this about a man of whom I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) say: 'Whoever I am his Mawla, Ali is his Mawla'? And I heard him say: 'You are to me as Harun was to Musa, except that there is no prophet after me'? And I heard him say: 'Today, I will give the flag to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger.'"
