- .... And there came from another source regarding Amir ibn Sa'd: that Sa'd saw a group gathered around a man, and he leaned his head in between two people
and found him insulting Ali and Talha and al-Zubayr. He reprimanded him for this, but he did not stop. Sa'd said, "I will pray for you." The man replied, "Are you threatening me as if you are a prophet?" So Sa'd turned and entered the house of the family of so-and-so, where he performed ablution and prayed two rak'ahs. Then he raised his hands and said, "O Allah, if You know that this man has insulted people who have received from You a previous decree of goodness, and that his anger at You for their sake is displeasing to You, then make him today a sign and a lesson." Then a distressed Bactrian (a type of camel) emerged from the house of the family of so-and-so, not to be turned away by anything, until it entered among a crowd of people. The people dispersed, and it seized him between its legs, continuing to thrash him until he died. Ibn Kathir said: I indeed saw people running after Sa'd, saying, "Allah has answered your prayer, O Abu Ishaq!"
