936 - Narrated to us by Ahmad, who said: narrated to us by Uthman, who said: narrated to us by Ibn Awn, from Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Aswad
from Amir ibn Sa'd, who said: Sa'd came from his land, and the people were gathered or congregated around a man, and he was insulting Ali, Uthman, Talha, and al-Zubayr. Sa'd admonished him, but he seemed to be provoked by them, and said: "What do you want with insulting people better than you? You should stop, or I will call down a curse upon you." Sa'd replied: "He frightens me; it seems he is a prophet." Then the man called for water, performed ablution, and prayed two rak'ahs. He said: "O Allah, if he is insulting people concerning whom there has been good established for them from You, may You be displeased with his insults to them." Then show me a sign with him by morning that will be a sign for all worlds." In the morning,
a Bukhitiyah emerged from the house of Ibn so-and-so, a being that nothing could withstand it, and the people scattered from it, and he made it between its legs and trampled it until it was extinguished. I saw the people following it, saying: "Allah has answered your prayer, Abu Ishaq."
