33 - Muslim: He narrated to us from Qutaybah ibn Sa'id and Muhammad ibn Ubad, and they were close in wording, saying: Hatem, the son of Isma'il, narrated to us from Bakir ibn Musmar
from Amir ibn Sa'ad ibn Abi Waqqas, from his father, who said: Muawiyah ibn Abi Sufyan ordered Sa'd and said: "What prevented you from reviling Abu Turab?" He replied: "As for the three things you mentioned that he said to him, I will not revile him; for one of them is dearer to me than red camels." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was speaking to him when he left him in some of his expeditions. And Ali (peace be upon him) said to him, O Messenger of Allah, you have left me with the women and children. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to him, "Are you not pleased to be to me as Harun was to Musa, except that there is no prophecy after me?" And I heard him say on the day of Khaybar, "I will surely give the banner to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger and is loved by Allah and His Messenger."
