- Al-Shaykh al-Ajl al-Amīn al-Asīl Abu Muhammad al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn al-Husayn ibn al-Hasan ibn Muhammad al-Asadi narrated to us, reading to him while we listened, on the twentieth of Dhul-Hijjah in the year 616 AH, and he said: My grandfather Abu al-Qasim al-Husayn ibn al-Hasan ibn Muhammad narrated to us, reading to him while I listened, and he said: Al-Shaykh Abu al-Qasim Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Abi al-‘Alaa al-Muysisi al-Faqih narrated to us, reading to him, and he said: Abu Muhammad Abd al-Rahman ibn Uthman ibn al-Qasim ibn Abi Nasr informed us in Jumada al-Akhirah in the year 515 AH, saying: Abu al-Hasan Khaythama ibn Sulayman ibn Haydara informed us, saying: Abu Amr ibn Abi Ghurzah informed us, saying: Abu Na'im al-Nakha'i informed us, saying: Al-Hasan ibn al-Hakam al-Nakha'i, and Harmalah, and Mus'ab narrated to us, saying:
Riyah ibn al-Harith informed us, saying: We were in the mosque with al-Mughira ibn Shu'bah, and a man from the people of Sham grabbed Ali ibn Abi Talib and spoke ill of him. Sa'id ibn Zayd ibn Amr ibn Nufayl said, "O Mughira, are the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) being disparaged in your presence and you do not react to this man from Sham?" He said, "Woe to you! Do you know who you are mentioning? I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) say, 'Ten are in Paradise.'" The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "I am in Paradise, and Abu Bakr is in Paradise, and Umar is in Paradise, and Uthman is in Paradise, and Ali is in Paradise, and Talha is in Paradise, and Zubair is in Paradise, and Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf is in Paradise, and Sa'id is in Paradise." Riyah ibn al-Harith said, "Then we asked him who the tenth was, and he replied, 'Allah knows, I am.'" And the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "Sa'id ibn Zayd is in Paradise" (R).
