Hadith No: 1

"The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) called 'Ali on the Day (of the battle) of At-Ta'if, and spoke privately with him, so the people said: 'His private conversation with his cousin has grown lengthy.' So the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) said: 'I did not speak privately with him, rather Allah spoke privately with him.'"

- .... Another hadith: Abu Isa al-Tirmidhi said: Ali ibn al-Mundhir al-Kufi narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Fudhayl narrated to us, from al-Ajlah, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: On the day of Ta'if, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) summoned Ali and confided in him, and the people said: "His conversation with his cousin is taking a long time." The Messenger of Allah replied, "I did not confide in him, but Allah confided in him." He then said: "This is a good, strange hadith. We do not know it except from the narration of al-Ajlah, and others than Ibn Fudhayl have narrated it from al-Ajlah." The meaning of his statement, "but Allah confided in him," is that Allah commanded me to confide with him.
