- Muhammad ibn Salih ibn Dhuraikh narrated to us, saying: Othman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, saying: Abdullah ibn Idris narrated to us, from Al-Ajlah ibn Abdullah al-Kindi, from al-Sha'bi, from Zur, from Ubay ibn Ka'b, who said: "I know the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr). It is the Night of the Twenty-Seventh. It is the night that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) informed us about. It appears in the morning after it, bright and shimmering, with no rays." Abdaan narrated to us, saying: Wahb ibn Baqiyyah narrated to us, saying: Khalid narrated to us, from Al-Ajlah, from Abu al-Zubair, from Jabir, that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) privately spoke with Ali (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) for a day during the Expedition of Ta'if, and they said: "Your conversation with Ali has been lengthy since today."
He replied: "I was not speaking with him in private, but Allah, the Almighty, was speaking with him in private."
