Al-Hakim al-Nisapouri - Al-Mustadrak ala al-Sahihain

4736 - Da'alaj ibn Ahmad al-Sajzi narrated to us, saying: Ali ibn Abd al-Aziz ibn Muawiya narrated to me, saying: Ibrahim ibn Ishaq al-Ja'fari narrated to me, from Abdullah ibn Abd Rabbih al-Ujjali, from Shu'bah, from Qatadah, from Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, from Imran ibn Husayn, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "Looking at Ali (peace be upon him) is an act of worship." This is a narration with a sound chain of transmission, and its corroborating evidence from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud is also sound.

- Abu Nasr Ahmad ibn al-Husayn al-Marwani al-Naysaburi said: Al-Hasan ibn Musa al-Samsar narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abdak al-Qazwini narrated to us, saying: Ubad ibn Suhayb narrated to us, saying: Hisham ibn Urwah narrated to us from his father from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "To look at Ali is an act of worship." This is considered strange from the narration of Hisham ibn Urwah, and we did not record it except from the narration of Ubadah.
