- Muhammad ibn al-Muthaffar narrated to us, saying: Abdullah ibn Ishaq narrated to us, saying: Ibrahim al-Anmati narrated to us, saying: Al-Qasim ibn Muawiya al-Ansari narrated to me, from Ismat ibn Muhammad, from Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Ansari, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to Ali, striking between his shoulders: "O Ali, you have seven qualities that no one will be able to contest you in them on the Day of Resurrection": You are the first to believe in Allah with faith, the most steadfast in fulfilling His covenant, the most upright in His command, the most compassionate towards the flock, the most equitable in your distribution, the most knowledgeable in legal matters, and the greatest in distinction on the Day of Resurrection."

32995 - O Ali, you have seven qualities that no one will be able to challenge you in on the Day of Resurrection: You were the first to believe in Allah with a sincere belief, the most faithful to His covenant, the most steadfast in His command, the most compassionate towards the community, the fairest in division, the most knowledgeable in matters of judgment, and the one with the greatest distinction on the Day of Resurrection.
