He said: His marriage to Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), his residing in the mosque with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), with what is permissible for him there as permissible for the Prophet, and the standard on the Day of Khaybar." 2675 - Muhammad ibn Ruziq ibn Jami' al-Masri narrated to us, saying: al-Haytham ibn Habib narrated to us, from Sufyan ibn Uyayna, from Ali ibn Ali al-Makki al-Hilali, from his father, who said: I entered upon the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) during his illness in which he passed away, and Fatimah (peace be upon her) was at his head. He said: She wept until her voice was raised. So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) lifted his gaze to her and said: My dear Fatimah, what is it that makes you cry? She said: I fear the loss (of guidance) after you. He said: O my dear one, do you not know that Allah, the Almighty, looked at the earth with a glance and chose your father from it, and sent him with His message Then He looked again and chose your husband from it, and revealed to me to marry you to him? O Fatimah, we are a family to whom Allah has granted seven special qualities that He did not grant to anyone before us, nor will He grant to anyone after us: I am the Seal of the Prophets and the most honored of the Prophets before Allah, and the most beloved of His creation to Allah, the Almighty, and I am your father and my successor, the best of successors, and the most beloved to Allah, and he is your husband. Our martyr is the best of martyrs and the most beloved to Allah, and he is your uncle, Hamzah ibn Abd al-Muttalib, who is the uncle of your father and the uncle of your husband. Among us is one who has two green wings, flying in Paradise with the angels wherever he wills, and he is the son of your father's uncle and the brother of your husband. Among us are the two grandchildren of this ummah, your sons, al-Hasan and al-Husayn, and they are the masters of the youth of the people of Paradise. Their father and the one who sent me with the truth is better than them. O Fatimah, the one who sent me with the truth, indeed, from them will be the Mahdi of this ummah when the world becomes chaotic and tumultuous, and tribulations overwhelm each other, roads are cut off, and some will raid others, with no elder showing mercy to a younger one, nor a younger one respecting an elder. Allah, the Almighty, will then send from among them one who will open the fortresses of misguidance and the hardened hearts, establishing the religion in the last times as I established it in the early times, and he will fill the world with justice as it was filled with oppression. O Fatimah, do not grieve or weep, for Allah, the Almighty, is more merciful to you and more compassionate towards you than I am, and that is because of your position with me and your place in my heart. Allah will give you a husband who is the most honorable in your family in terms of lineage, the most prestigious in rank, the most compassionate towards the flock, the most just in equality, and the most insightful in judgment. I asked my Lord, the Almighty, that you be the first of my family to join me. Ali (peace be upon him) said: When the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) passed away, Fatimah (peace be upon her) did not remain after him except for seventy-five days until Allah reunited her with him.

I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) saying during the Battle of Tabuk while we were walking with him: "Allah commanded me to marry Fatimah to Ali, and I did." Gabriel (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah has built a Paradise of pearls and reeds, with a pearl set between every two reeds, and rubies scattered with gold, and made its ceilings of green gems, and placed openings in it of pearls adorned with rubies, then set above them rooms, one made of silver and one of gold, one of pearls, one of rubies, and one of emeralds. He then made in it springs flowing in its corners, surrounded by rivers, and placed on the rivers domes of pearls, divided with chains of gold, surrounded by various trees. He built a dome in each branch and placed in each dome a couch of white pearl, covered with silk and brocade, and carpeted its floor with saffron, perfumed with musk and amber. In each dome, there was a beautiful maiden, and the dome had: one hundred doors, with two guards at each door and two trees in each dome, with a furnished setting. Written around the domes was the Throne Verse (Ayat al-Kursi). I said, "O Gabriel, for whom did Allah build this Paradise?" He said, "He built it for Fatimah, your daughter, and Ali ibn Abi Talib, separate from their other gardens, as a gift, a precious gift, to delight her." Rejoice, your eyes, O Messenger of Allah."

I am your father and my successor, the best of successors, and the most beloved to Allah. He is your husband, and our martyr, the best of martyrs, and the most beloved to Allah. There will be no elder to have mercy on the younger, nor will there be a younger one to show respect to the elder. Allah will then send from among them one who will open the fortresses of misguidance and heal hardened hearts, dismantling them in a way that upholds the religion in the last days, just as I upheld it in the early days. He will fill the world with justice as it was filled with oppression. O Fatimah, do not grieve or weep, for Allah is more merciful to you and kinder to you than I am, and that is because of your position to me and your place in my heart. Allah will bless you with a husband who is the noblest of my family in lineage, the most honored in rank, the most merciful to the flock, the most just among equals, and the most discerning in matters. I asked my Lord that you be the first of my family to join me. Ali ibn Abi Talib said: When the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) passed away, Fatimah did not remain after him except for seventy-five days until Allah reunited her with him (peace be upon him and his holy progeny). This hadith was only narrated from Ali ibn Ali by Sufyan ibn Uyayna, and Al-Haytham ibn Habib was unique in this.

1615 - And Abu Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Makhlad al-‘Attar narrated to us, saying: Abu al-Hasan Muhammad ibn Nahar ibn Ammar ibn Yahya narrated to us from Ya'la al-Taimi, who said: Abd al-Malik ibn Khiyar, a cousin of Yahya ibn Ma'in, narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Dinar al-Ghurqi, from the shore of Damascus, narrated to us, from Hisham ibn Yusuf, from Yunus, from al-Hasan, from Anas, who said: While I was sitting with the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), he was covered by divine inspiration. When it departed from him, he said to me: "O Anas, do you know what Gabriel (peace be upon him) brought me from the Lord of the Throne, the Almighty, and Glorious?" I replied, "With my father and mother! What did Gabriel (peace be upon him) bring you from the Lord of the Throne, the Almighty, and Glorious?" He said, "Allah, the Almighty, commanded me to marry Fatimah to Ali." Go and call me Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talhah, and al-Zubayr, and a number of them from the Ansar." So I called them, and when they took their seats, the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "All praise is due to Allah, who is worthy of being praised through His blessings, worshipped in His power, obeyed in His sovereignty, sought after in what is with Him, and feared in His punishment. His command is enacted in His earth and sky, He who created creation by His power, distinguished them by His laws, honored them with His religion, and esteemed them with His prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him and his holy progeny). Then, indeed, Allah, the Almighty, made marriage a lasting kinship and an obligatory matter, through which He connects families and binds peoples." He said: Blessed is His name and exalted is His mention. "And it is He who created from water a human being and made him a relative by blood and by marriage." Thus, the command of Allah, the Almighty, flows toward His decree, and His decree flows toward His destiny. For every destiny is a time, and for every time is a record. Allah erases what He wills and affirms, and with Him is the Mother of the Book. Then, indeed, Allah, the Almighty, commanded me to marry Fatimah to Ali, and bear witness that I have married her to him for four hundred mithqals of silver, if Ali is pleased with it." And Ali (peace be upon him) was absent, having been sent by the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) on an errand. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) ordered a tray containing fresh fruits to be placed before us, and he said: "Enjoy!" While we were enjoying, Ali (peace be upon him) approached, and the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) smiled at him. Then he said: "O Ali, Allah, the Almighty, commanded me to marry you to Fatimah, and I have married her to you for four hundred mithqals of silver, if you are pleased." Ali replied, "I am pleased, O Messenger of Allah." Then Ali inclined, fell to the ground in prostration, thanking Allah, the Almighty, who had made me fond of the best of creation, Muhammad (peace be upon him and his holy progeny)." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "May Allah bless you both and bless what is in you, and may your grandfather bring you happiness and produce from you many pure ones." Anas said: "By Allah, he certainly produced many pure ones from them."
