Volume: (7) - Page Number: (451)
8453 - Ahmad ibn Harb narrated to us, who said: Asbat narrated to us, from Nu'man ibn Hakim al-Mada'ini, who said:
Abu Maryam narrated to us, saying: Ali said: I went out with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) until we reached the Ka'bah. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) climbed onto my shoulders, and Ali lifted him. When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) saw his (Ali's) weakness, he said to him: Sit down. So, he sat, and the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) descended and said: Climb onto my shoulders. Ali lifted him again, and Ali said: It seemed to me that if I wanted, I could reach the horizon of the sky. Ali climbed the Ka'bah, which had a statue made of gold or bronze on it, and he began to struggle with it to remove it, shifting it left and right, forward and back, until he was able to get a good grip on it. Then the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: Throw it away. So, he threw it, and it broke into pieces like glass breaking, and then he descended. I went out with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), and we began to race until we disappeared behind the houses, fearing that someone from the people might see us.
