Hadith No: 2
Ibn al-Dimashqi - Jawahir al-Matalib fi Manaqib al-Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him)

- .... And Zayd ibn Arqam said: There were a few men from the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) who had doors opening into the mosque, and he said: "Close these doors except for the door of Ali." Some people spoke about this, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) stood up and praised Allah and extolled Him
and then said: "As for what follows, I was commanded to close these doors, except for the door of Ali," and some people have spoken about this. And I swear by Allah, I did not close or open anything, but I was commanded regarding something, and I followed that." Imam Ahmad recorded this.
