- .... And al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar said: Al-Bazzar mentioned in his Musnad that the hadith: "Close every door in the mosque except for Ali's door," came from the narrations of the people of Kufa.
- .... From Zayd ibn Arqam, who said: A group of the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) had doors opening into the mosque. One day he said: "Close these doors except for Ali's door." Then some people spoke out about this. So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) stood up, praised Allah, and extolled Him, and said: "As for what follows, I was commanded to close these doors, except for Ali's door." Your speaker on this matter said, and I swear by Allah, I did not close or open anything. I was only commanded to do something, and I followed that."
