His statement: He ordered the doors to be closed, meaning the open ones in the mosque except for Ali's door and that is why he said: "It is not lawful for anyone to be in a state of junub (ritual impurity) in this mosque except me and you." Ibn al-Jawzi's comment in al-Lum'at was that he deemed this hadeeth forged, saying, "The Rawaafid (Shiites) created it to oppose the hadeeth of Abu Bakr." However, Sheikh Ibn Hajar responded to him, stating that there are many chains for Ali's hadeeth, some of which reach the level of authenticity and others the level of good, and there is no contradiction between it and Abu Bakr's hadeeth because the order to close the doors and open Ali's door occurred in the beginning, while the order to close the doorways except for Abu Bakr's doorway happened later, during his illness, when he had three days or less left to live." Thus ends the content in al-Lum'at.
