Volume: (6) - Page Number: (365)
32066 - Jarir ibn Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, from Mughirah, from Umm Musa, from Umm Salamah, who said: "By the One in whose name I swear, Ali was indeed one of the closest people in proximity to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny)." She said: "We were visiting the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) on the day he passed away in Aisha's house, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) began to say, day after day: 'Ali is coming,' multiple times." She said: "And I think he had sent him on an errand." Then she continued: "He came back later, and we thought he had a need for him, so we left the house and sat by the door. I was one of the closest to the door."
She said: "Then Ali leaned over him, and he was speaking to him quietly and confiding in him, and then he passed away that day, so he was one of the closest people to him in terms of time."
