Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani - Lisan al-Mizan - Letter 'Ayn (ع) Ghair Mamluqa - Those Named Abd al-Rahman

1683 - Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad al-Hasib, whose identity is unknown, and as for his story, it is false. Al-Khatib narrated through a chain going back to Abdullah ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad, from his father, from Khuzaymah ibn Khazim, who said: Al-Mansur narrated to me, saying: My father narrated to me, from his father Ali, from his grandfather, who said: "I was with Abbas at the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) when Ali entered. The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: 'Allah loves this one more than Me with a love more intense than any other. Indeed, Allah made the descendants of every prophet come from his own loins, and He made my descendants from the loins of Ali (peace be upon him).'"

- .... And about Jabir, al-Tabarani also reported something similar in al-Kabir. Al-Sakhawi said in his treatise titled Al-Is'af bil-Jawab 'ala Mas'alat al-Ashraf after presenting Jabir's hadith in wording: "Indeed, Allah made the descendants of every prophet in his lineage, and Allah made my descendants in the lineage of Ali ibn Abi Talib," what follows: "I had been asked about this hadith, and I elaborated on it, clarifying that it is sound for argumentation, and success is from Allah."

He said in al-Maqasid: It is also narrated from Ibn Abbas, as I have written in Irtaqaa al-Ghuraf, and some of these narrations strengthen each other.

- .... It was mentioned in the previous chapter that he said (peace be upon him and his holy progeny): "You are my brother and the father of my sons." And from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: "I and Abbas were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) when Ali ibn Abi Talib entered. He greeted, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) returned the greeting, stood up to him, embraced him, kissed him between the eyes, and seated him on his right." Abbas said: "O Messenger of Allah, do you love this?" The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) replied: "O uncle, by Allah, Allah loves him more than I do. Indeed, Allah placed the progeny of every prophet in his loins, and He placed my progeny in the loins of this one." Abu al-Khayr al-Hakami narrated it in al-Arba'in.

Then, Yahya ibn al-Alah al-Razi narrated to us from Yahya ibn al-Alah al-Razi, from Ja'far ibn Muhammad, from his father, from Jabir, who said that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "Allah made every prophet's offspring from his loins, and He made my offspring from the loins of Ali."
