Oh Allah don’t cause me to die till I see Ali (a.s)

Hadith No: 1
Ahmad ibn Hanbal - Fada'il al-Sahabah - And Among the Virtues of Ali (peace be upon him)
And among the virtues of Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) from the narration of Abu Bakr ibn Malik from his teachers, except for Abdullah

1039 - Abu Muslim Ibrahim ibn Abdullah ibn Muslim al-Basri narrated to us, reading to him on Monday in the month of Rabiu al-Thani in the year 288 AH, Abu Asim narrated to us, which is al-Dhahhak ibn Makhlad, from Abu al-Jarrah, who said: Jabir ibn Subh narrated to me from Umm Sharahil from Umm Attiyyah that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent Ali on a military expedition, and I saw him raising his hands and saying: "O Allah, do not let me die until You show me Ali."

1116 - Ibrahim ibn Abdullah al-Basri narrated to us, who said: Al-Duhhak ibn Mukhlid Abu Asim al-Nabil narrated to us from Abu al-Jarrah, who said: Jabir ibn Subh narrated to me from Umm Sharahil from Umm Atiyyah that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent Ali on a military expedition, and I saw him with his hands raised, saying: "O Allah, do not let me die until You show me Ali."

Narrated Umm 'Atiyyah:

"The Prophet (s.a.w.a.) sent an army in which was 'Ali." She said: "While he was raising his hands, I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) saying: 'O Allah! Do not cause me to die until You allow me to see 'Ali."

- .... Another Hadith: Al-Tirmidhi said: Muhammad ibn Bashar and Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim and several others narrated to us. Abu Asim narrated to us from Abu al-Jarrah, from Jabir ibn Subh, who said: My mother, Umm Sharahil, Umm Atiyya told me, saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent out an army in which was Ali. She said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) raising his hands and saying, "O Allah, do not let me die until You show me Ali." Then he said: This is a حسن (hasan) strange Hadith; we only know it from this narration.

2432 - Abu Muslim narrated to us, who said: Abu Asim narrated to us from Abi al-Jarrah, who said: Jabir ibn Salih narrated to me from Umm Sharahil from Umm Atiyah that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent Ali on a military expedition, and I saw him raising his hands and saying: "O Allah, do not let me die until You show me Ali." This hadith is not narrated from Umm Atiyah except with this chain of narration, which Abu Asim uniquely reported.
