6758 - Al-Sami narrated to us, saying: Sakin ibn Abdul Aziz narrated to us, saying: Ja'far narrated to us, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: When Ali (peace be upon him) was killed, Hasan ibn Ali (peace be upon him) stood up as a speaker, praised Allah, and extolled Him, then said: "As for what follows, by Allah, you have killed tonight a man on a night in which the Qur'an was revealed, in which Isa ibn Maryam was raised, and in which Yahushua ibn Nun, the youth of Musa (peace be upon him), was killed." Ibrahim ibn al-Hajjaj narrated to us, saying: Sakin narrated to us, and my father also narrated to me from Khalid ibn Jaber, from his father, from Hasan ibn Ali, similar to this, and added: "And in it, Allah forgave Ali ibn Israel." And he said, "By Allah, no one before him preceded him, and no one after him will follow him
even though the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) would send him in an expedition with Gabriel on his right and Michael on his left." By Allah, he left no gold or silver except eight hundred or seven hundred dirhams, which he had set aside for a servant to buy.
