Maswar replied, "Tell him to meet me in the evening." So he met him, and Maswar praised and thanked Allah the Almighty, saying: "As for what follows, by Allah, there is no lineage, bond, or in-law more beloved to me than your lineage and in-laws. However, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, 'Fatimah is a part of me. What harms her, harms me; what brings her joy, brings me joy. And indeed, lineages will be cut off on the Day of Resurrection, except for my lineage and my wrath, and your daughter is with you. If I were to marry you, I would withdraw," and he went on, excusing him.

- .... Ibn Sa'd narrated in Sharaf al-Nubuwwah from Ali (ra) who said: The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) said, "O Fatimah, indeed Allah, the Mighty and Majestic be He, is angry at your anger and pleased with your pleasure." Abu Na'im also narrated in Fadail al-Sahabah and Ibn Asakir in his Tariikh, and Abi Ya'la in his Musnad from Ali, from the Prophet (s.a.w.a.), that he said: "O Fatimah, indeed Allah is angry at your anger and pleased with your pleasure." This was while Abu Lubabah was swearing an oath when he tied himself up in the mosque (during the Battle of Banu Qurayzah) that none would untie him except the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.), and Fatimah came to untie him, but he refused. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) then said: "Indeed, Fatimah is a part of me." So, he untied him.
