- ....
And from Usamah ibn Zayd: that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "The most beloved of my family to me is Fatimah." Abu Dawood al-Tayalisi and al-Tabarani in al-Kabir and al-Hakim and al-Tirmidhi narrated this.
- ....
And from al-Nu'man ibn Bashir: Abu Bakr sought permission to enter upon the Chosen One, and he heard Aisha speaking loudly, saying: "By Allah, I know that Fatimah and Ali are more beloved to you than me and my father, two or three times." Abu Bakr then requested permission again and made a gesture towards her, saying: "O daughter of so-and-so, did you not hear yourself raising your voice over the Messenger of Allah?" (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) Al-Imam Ahmad narrated this, and his narrators are those of the Sahih.
- .... And from Ibn Abbas, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) entered upon Ali and Fatimah, and they were laughing. When they saw him, they became silent. The Prophet then said to them: "What is it with you that you were laughing, but when you saw me, you became silent?" Fatimah quickly replied, saying: "May my father be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "This one says, 'I am more beloved to the Messenger of Allah than you,'" and I said, "No, I am more beloved to him than you." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) smiled
and said: "O my daughter, you have the tenderness of a child, and Ali is dearer to me than you." Al-Tabarani narrated this with a sound chain of narrators.
