Ahmad ibn Hanbal - Fada'il al-Sahabah (Virtues of the Companions) - Virtues of Fatimah, Daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny)

1344 - Ibrahim ibn Abdullah narrated to us, saying: Abdulhamid ibn Bahr al-Kufi narrated to us, from Khalid, from Bayan, from al-Sha'bi, from Abu Juhayfa from Ali, from the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), who said: "On the Day of Resurrection, it will be said: O people of the gathering, lower your gaze until Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah, passes by." She will pass, wearing two green cloaks. Abu Muslim said: Abu Qilabah, who was with us at Abdulhamid's, said to me that he mentioned two red cloaks.

4776 - Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Battah al-Isfahani narrated to us, saying: Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Zakariya al-Isfahani narrated to us, saying: Ismail ibn Amr al-Bajjali narrated to us, saying: al-Ajlakh ibn Abdullah al-Kindi narrated to us, from Habib ibn Thabit, from Asim ibn Dumrah from Ali (r) who said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) told me: 'The first to enter Paradise will be me, Fatimah, Hasan, and Husayn.'" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, and our loved ones?" He replied, "They will be behind you.'" The chain of narration is authentic, and they did not include it in their collections.

4780 - Ahmad ibn Balwayh al-Aqsi informed us from the original of his book, saying: Muhammad ibn Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, saying: Abu Muslim, the leader of al-Amash, narrated to us, saying: al-Amash narrated to us from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, from his father from Abu Hurairah (ra), who said:The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "The prophets will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment on animals, to gather with the believers from their people at the Resurrection, and Salih will be resurrected on his she-camel, while I will be sent on al-Buraq, whose stride is at the farthest tip of its reach."And Fatimah will be sent before me." This is a authentic hadith according to the criteria of Muslim, and they did not record it.

4781 - Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Atab al-Abdi informed us in Baghdad, and Abu Bakr ibn Abi Darm al-Hafiz in Kufa, and Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub and Abu al-Husayn ibn Mati in Kufa, and al-Hasan ibn Ya'qub the Just, who said: Ibrahim ibn Abdullah al-Absi narrated to us from Abu Jahji, who said: "I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) say: 'On the Day of Resurrection, a caller will announce from behind a veil, 'O people of the gathering, gird your loins before Fatimah, the daughter of Muhammad (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), until she passes.'" This is a sound hadith according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, and they did not record it.

4811 - Abu al-Fadl al-Hasan ibn Yaqub al-Adl, Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Utab, and Abu Bakr ibn Abi Darm al-Hafiz said: Ibrahim ibn Abdullah al-Absi narrated to us, al-Abbas ibn al-Walid ibn Bakar al-Dhubi narrated to us, Khalid al-Wasiti narrated to us, and Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn Jaafar ibn Hamdan informed me, saying: The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "On the Day of Resurrection, it will be said, 'O people of the assembly, lower your gazes to allow Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), to pass by.'" She will pass by, and she will be wearing two green cloaks. Abu Muslim said: Abu Qilabah told me, and Abd al-Hamid was with us, that he said they would be two red cloaks. This is a hadith with a sound chain of narration, and they did not include it in their compilations.

2386 - Abu Muslim narrated to us, who said: Abdul Hamid ibn Bahr al-Zahrani narrated to us, who said: Khalid ibn Abdullah al-Wasiti narrated to us, from Bayan Abi Bashar, from al-Sha'bi, from Abi Juhayfa from Ali, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "On the Day of Resurrection, it will be said, 'O people of the gathering, lower your gaze, for Fatimah, the daughter of Muhammad, will pass by.'" He said she will pass by wearing two green cloaks. Only Khalid narrated this hadith from Bayan, and Abdul Hamid and Abbas ibn Bakkar al-Dhabbi were unique in it. Nothing is narrated from Ali except with this chain of transmission.

Attribution of Ali ibn Abi Talib (ra): He witnessed the Battle of Badr, the son of Abd al-Muttalib ibn Hashim ibn Abd Manaf ibn Qusai ibn Kilab ibn Murra ibn Kab ibn Lu'ay ibn Ghalib ibn Fihr ibn Malik. He was given the kunya (nickname) Abu al-Hasan - and nothing has been narrated from Ali (a) that is unverified.

1619 - Abu Muhammad Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Najiyah narrated to us, saying: Ali ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, saying: Ubaid ibn Ishaq al-Attar narrated to us, saying: Muhajir ibn Kathir al-Asadi narrated to us, from Sa'd ibn Tarif, from al-Asbagh ibn Nabatah from Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "When the Day of Resurrection comes and Allah gathers the first and the last in one place, a caller will announce from the depths of the Throne: 'O assembly of creation, the Majestic One, may His Glory be exalted, says: Lower your heads and avert your gaze, for this is Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), seeking to pass over the Sirat.'" Muhammad ibn al-Husayn, may Allah have mercy on him, said: The virtues of Fatimah (peace be upon her and her Holy Progeny) are many and magnificent, and I have mentioned what I could recall of her virtues in Mecca, to be followed by the virtues of Hasan and Husayn (peace be upon them), and may Allah grant us and you success in what He loves and pleases.
