Al-Hakim al-Nisaburi - Al-Mustadrak ala al-Sahihayn
Book of Trials and Portents - The situation will not become anything but more severe, nor will the religion do anything but decline
Volume: (4) - Page Number: (442)
8413 - He narrated to us: al-Hasan ibn Ali al-Tamimi (rahimahu Allah) who said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq al-Imam narrated to us, Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Darhami narrated to us, Mubarak Abu Suhaym narrated to us, Abdul Aziz ibn Suhayb narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik (radiyallahu anhu): from the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) that he said: "Time will only become more severe, and people will only become more miserly, and the Hour will not be established except upon the worst of people." I recalled what had reached me regarding the reason for this hadith, not in astonishment, but not using it as evidence in the Mustadrak on the two Shaykhs (rahimahu Allah), for one who is more deserving of mentioning this hadith in this context is the hadith of Sufyan al-Thawri, Shu'bah, Zaa'idah, and others among the Imams of the Muslims, from Asim ibn Bahdala, from Zar ibn Hubaysh from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (radiyallahu anhu) from the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) that he said: "The days and nights will not pass until a man from my Ahlul Bayt rises to rule, whose name will be like my name and the name of his father will be like my father's name, and he will fill the earth with justice and equity as it was filled with injustice and oppression."

8482 - Abu Bakr ibn Darim al-Hafiz narrated to me in Kufa: He said, Muhammad ibn Uthman ibn Sa'id al-Qurashi narrated to us, offering his condolences, and he said: Yazid ibn Muhammad al-Thaqafi narrated to us, Haban ibn Sudayr narrated to us from Amr ibn Qays al-Malai'i, from al-Hakam, from Ibrahim, from Alqamah ibn Qays and Ubaydah al-Salmani, from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: We came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), and he came out to us beaming with joy, with a visible sense of happiness on his face. We did not ask him about anything except that he informed us, nor did we remain silent except that he initiated the conversation, until a group of young men from Bani Hashim passed by, among them Hassan and Hussein. When he saw them, he embraced them, and his eyes filled with tears. So we said, "O Messenger of Allah, we continue to see something in your face that we dislike." He said: "Indeed, we are a family that Allah has chosen for us the Hereafter over this world, and my family will face expulsion and persecution in the lands after me, until black banners appear from the East. They will ask for the truth, but they will not be given it. Then they will ask again, but they will not be given it. Then they will ask once more, but they will not be given it, and they will fight and be victorious. Whoever among you or from your descendants encounters that time, let him go to the Imam of my family, even if he has to crawl through the snow, for these are guiding banners that they will deliver to a man from my family whose name matches my name and whose father's name is the name of my father, and he will rule the Earth, filling it with justice and fairness, just as it has been filled with oppression and injustice."

Book of Trials and Omens - A severe affliction will befall my Ummah in the last times from their ruler
Volume: (4) - Page Number: (465)
8486 - Al-Husayn ibn Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Tamimi narrated to me, stating that Abu Muhammad al-Hasan ibn Ibrahim ibn Haidar al-Hamiri narrated to him in Kufa, saying: Al-Qasim ibn Khalifah narrated to us, saying: Abu Yahya Abd al-Hamid ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Hamani narrated to us, saying: Umar ibn Ubayd Allah al-Adawi narrated to us, from Muawiya ibn Qura, from Abu al-Sidq al-Naji, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "A severe affliction will befall my Ummah in the last times from their ruler, such as has not been heard of before, until the spacious earth becomes constricted for them, and the earth will be filled with injustice and oppression. The believer will not find any refuge to which they can flee from the oppression." Then Allah, the Almighty, will send a man from my lineage who will fill the earth with fairness and justice, as it has been filled with injustice and oppression. He will be pleasing to the Inhabitant of Heaven and the Inhabitant of Earth. The earth will not withhold any of its seeds from him except that it will bring them forth, nor will the sky withhold any of its rain from him except that Allah will pour it upon them in abundance. He will live in this state for seven, eight, or nine years, and the living will wish for the dead because of what Allah, the Almighty, has done for the people of the earth from His goodness." This is a hadith with a sound chain of narration, and they did not include it in their collections.

8712 - Abu Bakr ibn Ishaq, Ali ibn Hamshadh al-Adl, and Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Balwayh narrated to us, saying: Bashir ibn Musa al-Asdi narrated to us, from Huwwa-dh ibn Khalifah, from Awf ibn Abi Jumaylah. And al-Husayn ibn Ali al-Darami narrated to me, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq al-Imam, from Muhammad ibn Bashar, from Ibn Abi Udday, from Awf, from Abu al-Siddiq al-Naji from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "The Hour will not be established until the earth is filled with oppression, injustice, and aggression. Then, from my Ahlul Bayt, one will emerge who will fill it with fairness and justice, just as it was filled with oppression and aggression." This is a sound hadith according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs, although they did not record it. The hadith explained in that narration and the narrations of the hadith of Asim from Zurr from Abdullah are all authentic, as I have established in this book by relying on the reports of Asim ibn Abi al-Najud, for he is an imam among the imams of the Muslims.

8713 - Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ishaq al-San'ani narrated to us, saying: Amr ibn Asim al-Kalabi narrated to us, saying: Imran al-Qattan narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abu Nadrah from Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "The Mahdi is from us, the Ahl al-Bayt." He had a prominent nose, was hooked-nosed, and bald. He will fill the earth with justice and fairness, just as it has been filled with oppression and tyranny." He indicated this with his hands, stretching his left hand and holding two fingers of his right hand, the beads and thumb, and forming three with this. This is a sound hadith, on the condition of Muslim, although they did not include it in their collections.

8717 - Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, saying: Hajjaj ibn al-Rabi' ibn Sulayman narrated to us, saying: Asad ibn Musa narrated to us, saying: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Matar and Abu Harun, from Abu al-Sadiq al-Naji from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him): that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "The earth will be filled with injustice and tyranny, and a man from my lineage will emerge," the narrative continues. This is a sound hadith according to the criteria of Muslim, and neither he nor al-Bukhari included it.
