- Abu Bakr ibn al-Jarud said: Abu Bakr ibn al-Jarud narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Isa al-Zajjaj narrated to us, saying: Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, saying: Fitr narrated to us from Abu Ishaq and Asim from Zar from Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "If there were only one day left in the world, Allah would send forth a man from my Ahlul Bayt whose name aligns with my name and whose father's name is the name of my father."

- Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Ahmad ibn al-Husayn al-Ansari narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Husayn ibn Hafs narrated to us, my grandfather al-Husayn narrated to us, Ikrimah ibn Ibrahim narrated to us from Matar al-Warraq, from Abu al-Sadiq al-Naji from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "The Hour will not be established until a man from my Ahlul Bayt is appointed as a successor, who will be angular-nosed and aquiline, filling the earth with justice as it was previously filled with ظلم (injustice). He will reign for seven years."

He will be made ready by Allah in a single night." And Yasin al-'Ajli narrated this from Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hanifah, from his father, from Ali.

Then, when it is filled with tyranny and oppression, Allah will send a man from me, whose name is my name, and he will fill it with justice and fairness, as it was filled with tyranny and oppression."

1538 - Suleiman ibn Ahmad narrated to us, saying: Abu Amer Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Suri narrated to us, saying: Suleiman ibn Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, saying: Husayn ibn Ali al-Kindi, a freedman of Khadijah, narrated to us from al-Awza'i from Qays ibn Jabir al-Sudafi, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "There will be after me caliphs, and after the caliphs, commanders, and after the commanders, kings and tyrants. Then a man from my Ahlul Bayt will emerge and fill the earth with justice, as it has been filled with oppression." Then al-Qahhtani will be appointed, and by the one who sent me with the truth, he will not be beneath him. Thus, al-Awza'i narrated it from Qays ibn Jabir from his father from his grandfather, and Ibn Luheiya narrated it from Abd al-Rahman ibn Qays ibn Jabir from his father from his grandfather from the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), who said something to this effect.

6737 - Narrated to us by Sulayman ibn Ahmad, who said: Abu Amir al-Nahwi narrated to us, saying: Sulayman ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Dimashqi narrated to us, saying: Hunin ibn Ali al-Kindi, the freedman of Judha, narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, from Qays ibn Jabir, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "There will be successors after me, and after the successors, there will be commanders, and after the commanders, there will be kings, and after the kings, there will be tyrants. Then a man from my Ahlul Bayt will emerge, filling the earth with justice as it has been filled with injustice. Then al-Qahtani will be appointed, and by the One who sent me with the truth, he will be no less."

- Abu Bakr ibn Khalad narrated to us, who said: Al-Harith ibn Abi Usamah narrated to us, who said: Huwwad narrated to us, who said: Auf the Arab nomad narrated to us from Abu al-Sadiq from Abu Sa'id (ra) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "You will surely fill the earth with oppression and wrongdoing, and then there will emerge from my Ahl al-Bayt, or he said, from my descendants, those who will fill it with justice and fairness, just as it was filled with oppression and wrongdoing." This is a well-known narration from the hadith of Abu al-Sadiq from Abu Sa'id (ra), and it was narrated by some of the Tabi'un from Abu al-Sadiq, including Matar the paper-seller, and from him, Hammad ibn Zayd.

- Abu Ahmad narrated to us, saying: Fadail ibn Muhammad al-Malti narrated to us, saying: Yasin al-Ajli narrated to us, from Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hanifiyya, from his father from Ali, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "The Mahdi is from us, the People of the House"; Allah, the Exalted, will prepare him in a night or, he said, in two days. This is a strange narration among the narrations of Muhammad. Waki' and Ibn Numayr and Abu Dawud al-Hafri narrated it from Yasin, and Muhammad ibn Fadail narrated it from Salim ibn Abi Hafsa, from Ibrahim.

- Muhammad ibn Umar ibn Muslim said: Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Najiyah, Ali ibn Ishaq, and Muhammad ibn Aban narrated to us, saying: Yusuf ibn Hawshab narrated to us, saying: Abu Yazid al-A'war narrated to us, from Amr ibn Murrah, from Zur ibn Hubaysh, from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "The world will not pass away until a man from my Ahlul Bayt possesses it, whose name coincides with my name." Muhammad ibn Umar said: I asked Abu al-Abbas ibn 'Aqdah about Abu Yazid al-A'war, and he said: He is Khalaf ibn Hawshab, a stranger in the narrations of Yusuf ibn Hawshab, and we only recorded Khalaf's narrations from this one source.
