5699 - Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hadhrami narrated to us, saying: Tahir ibn Abi Ahmad al-Zubayri narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to us, saying: Sabagh ibn Yahya al-Muzani narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, from Ibrahim, from Alqamah, from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, who said: While we were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), a group of men from Banu Hashim or young men from Banu Hashim approached. When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) saw them, his face turned red and his eyes glistened with tears. We said, "O Messenger of Allah, we continue to see something in your face that you dislike." He said: "Indeed, we are a family whom Allah has chosen for the Hereafter over this world, and my household, these people, will face expulsion and exile after me until a group comes from over there, from the east, with black banners. They will ask for the truth but will not be given it; then they will ask for the truth again but will not be given it." He repeated this twice or three times. "They will fight and be given what they asked for,
but they will not accept it until it is delivered to a man from my household who will fill it with justice as they filled it with injustice. Whoever reaches that time should go to them, even if crawling on snow." This hadith was not narrated from Sabagh al-Muzani except by Abu Ahmad, whose son was unique in this regard.
