11 - Abu Sa'id reported that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) mentioned a trial that will befall this ummah until a man does not find a refuge to escape to from oppression "Then Allah will send a man from my lineage and the People of my House, and he will fill the earth with justice and fairness as it has been filled with ظلم (injustice) and جور (transgression)." Both the inhabitants of heaven and the inhabitants of earth will be pleased with him. The heavens will not withhold any rain but will pour it down in abundance, and the earth will not withhold any plants but will bring them forth until the living wish the dead. He will live in this for seven years, or eight years, or nine years. Al-Hakim narrated it in his Mustadrak and said: It is authentic.

7 - And Ahmad narrates: "The Hour will not be established until the earth is filled with oppression and aggression, then from my progeny, one will emerge who will fill it with fairness and justice just as it was filled with oppression and tyranny."
8 - And from Ibn Mas'ud who said: The Messenger of Allah said, "The world will not pass away until the Arabs are ruled by a man from my Ahlul Bayt whose name coincides with my name." Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, who said: And there are reports on this topic from Ali, Abu Sa'id, Umm Salamah, and Abu Huraira. This is a hasan sahih hadith.
9 - And Ibn Majah narrates from the route of Ibrahim from Alqamah, from Ibn Mas'ud who said: While we were with the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.), young men from Banu Hashim approached. When the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) saw them, his eyes filled with tears and his color changed. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, we continue to see something in your face that you dislike." He said, "We, the Ahlul Bayt, are a family whom Allah has chosen for the Hereafter over this world, and my Ahlul Bayt will face trials, dispersion, and exile until people come from the east with black banners, and they will ask for good but not be given it. They will fight, be victorious, and receive what they asked for, but will not accept it until they offer it to a man from my Ahlul Bayt who will fill it with justice as it was filled with injustice. Whoever among you reaches that time should go to them, even if crawling on snow."

13 - And from Hudhayfa, who reported it as a raise: The Mahdi will turn, and Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him) will have descended, as if water is dripping from his hair, and the Mahdi will say to him: "Advance and pray with the people." Among us are the two grandsons of this Ummah, the leaders of the youth of Paradise, Hasan and Husayn, and they are your sons, and among us is the Mahdi, and he is from your descendants." 6 - And in it: From al-Baqir, from his father and grandfather from Ali (peace be upon him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "The Mahdi is from my offspring. He then said, "The fourth from my offspring will be the son of a lady, and Allah will purify the earth through him from all tyranny and oppression. He is the one in whose birth people will doubt, and he is the Master of Occultation. When he emerges, the earth will be illuminated with the light of his Lord, and he will establish the scales of justice among the people, so no one will wrong another." He is the one for whom the earth will be folded and who will not have a shadow, and he is the one who will be called by a caller from the heavens, heard by all the inhabitants of the earth: "Beware, the Proof of Allah has appeared at the House of Allah, so follow him, for the truth is in him and with him." This is the word of Allah, the Almighty, and the Exalted: {If We willed, We could send down to them from the heavens a sign, and their necks would remain humbled to it} (Ash-Shu'ara 26:4).

10 - Al-Sahib al-Arba'in: He narrated: from Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) say, "Woe to this ummah from the kings who are tyrants! How they will kill and drive away Muslims, except for those who show obedience to them. The believer who is pious will resist them with his tongue and flee from them with his heart. When Allah, Blessed and Exalted, wants to restore Islam in strength, He will break every tyrannical, obstinate one, and He is Able to do whatever He wills, and He will rectify the ummah after its corruption. O Hudhayfah: If only one day of the world remained, Allah would prolong that day until a man from my Ahlul Bayt rules, manifesting Islam. And Allah does not fail in His promise, and He is Able on His promise."

- .... He also mentioned in the Futuhat al-Makkiyah in Chapter sixty-five: the station of the ministers of the Mahdi, the one who will appear in the last days, of whom the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) gave glad tidings, and he is from the Ahl al-Bayt. Allah will have a خليفة (Khalifah) who will emerge at a time when the earth is filled with injustice and oppression, and he will fill it with equity and justice. If only a day of this world remained, Allah would prolong that day until this Khalifah from the Prophet's (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) lineage takes leadership, giving allegiance between the Black Stone and the Station of Abraham. The happiest people with him will be the people of Kufa. He will distribute wealth equitably, be just to the subjects, and give fair rulings in disputes. He will appear after a period of religious neglect, and whoever refuses him will be killed, and whoever challenges him will be humiliated. He will manifest aspects of the religion that will be the true religion, demonstrating in himself what, if the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) were alive, he would rule upon. He will remove all sects from the earth, leaving only pure faith, and his enemies will be the blind followers of scholars of ijtihad, who will enter reluctantly under his rule, fearing his sword and might, and yearning for what he has. This will bring joy to the majority of Muslims, and those who truly know Allah, from the people of realities, will give allegiance to him through witnessing and divine insight, guided by His instructions. He will have divine men supporting him, establishing his call, and they will be his ministers, carrying the burdens of the kingdom.

- And in it, that is, in this book, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr from Ibn Abbas, who reported it as a hadith raised to the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny): "My successors and the proofs of Allah over His creation after me are the twelve. The first of them is my brother, and the last of them is my son." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, who is your brother?" He replied: "Ali." It was asked: "Who is your son?" He answered: "The Mahdi, who will fill the earth with justice and fairness, as it has been filled with oppression and tyranny." And the one who sent me with the truth as a bearer of good news and a warner, if there were only one day left in the world, Allah would prolong that day until my son, the Mahdi, appears, and the Spirit of God, Jesus son of Mary, will descend to pray behind my son, and the earth will shine with the light of its Lord, and his dominion will reach the East and the West.

9 - And in it: From Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who narrated that he said: The earth will be filled with injustice and tyranny, then a man from my lineage will emerge, ruling the earth for seven or nine years, and he will fill the earth with equity and justice.
10 - And in it: From Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who narrated that he said: The Hour will not be established until one from my Ahl al-Bayt (People of the House) rules the earth, with a high forehead and a prominent nose, filling the earth with justice as it was filled before with oppression, for seven years.
11 - And in it: From Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) addressed us and mentioned what is to come, saying: If only one day remains of this world, Allah would prolong that day until He sends a man from my lineage, his name like my name. Salman al-Farsi stood and said: O Messenger of Allah, from which of your descendants will he be? He said: From this lineage of mine, and he gestured with his hand towards Husayn (peace be upon him).
12 - And in it: From Ibn Mas'ud, who raised it, saying: The Hour will not be established until a man from my Ahl al-Bayt comes, his name matching my name.
13 - And in it: From Abu Sa'id, who raised it, saying:The Mahdi is from us, the Ahl al-Bayt, with a sharp nose, filling the earth with justice as it was filled with injustice.
14 - And in it: From Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, who raised it, saying: Allah, the Exalted, will send a man from my lineage, with a gap between his front teeth and a high forehead, filling the earth with justice and abundance of wealth.
15 - And in it: From Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hanifiyyah, from his father, from Ali ibn Abi Talib, who raised it, saying: The Mahdi is from us, the Ahl al-Bayt; Allah will prepare him in one night.
16 - And in it: From Jabir ibn Abdullah, who raised it, saying: The Mahdi is from my descendants, his name like my name, and his title like my title, the one who resembles me most in appearance and character. He will have an absence and confusion that will lead nations astray, and he will return like a piercing comet, filling the world with justice and fairness as it was filled with injustice and oppression.
17 - And in it: From al-Baqir, from his forefathers, from Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), who raised it, saying: The Mahdi is from my descendants; he will have an absence and confusion that will lead nations astray. 18 - And in it: from Sa'id ibn Jubayr from Ibn Abbas who narrated it with a chain to the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), who said: "Ali is the Imam of my Ummah after me, and from his descendants is the Awaited Qaim (Mahdi), who will fill the earth with justice and fairness as it has been filled with tyranny and oppression." And he who sent me with the truth as a bearer of good news and a warner said, "Those who remain steadfast in believing in his Imamate during his time of occultation are rarer than scarlet sulfur." Then Jabir ibn Abdullah stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah, will the Qaim from your descendants have an occultation?" He replied: "Yes, by my Lord, and Allah will test those who believe and obliterate the disbelievers, O Jabir: This is a matter from the matter of Allah and a secret from the secret of Allah, so beware of doubt regarding it, for doubt in the matter of Allah, the Almighty, is disbelief."
19 - And in it: from al-Hasan ibn Khalid, who said: Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha said, "The appointed time is the day the Qaim of our household emerges." It was said to him: "Who is the Qaim from among you?" He replied: "The fourth from my lineage, the son of a lady of the enslaved. Allah will purify the earth through him from all injustice and sanctify it from all oppression, and he is one whom people will doubt the birth of. He is the one destined for occultation before his emergence, and when he emerges, the earth will shine with his light, and he will establish the scale of justice among the people, so no one will wrong another." He is the one for whom the earth will be flattened, and there will be no shadow over him. He is the one who will be called to by a herald from the heavens, audible to all the inhabitants of the earth: "Beware! The proof of Allah has appeared at the House of Allah, so follow him, for the truth is in him and with him." And the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted be He, will apply: {If We willed, We could send down to them from the heaven a sign, and their necks would remain humbled to it} (Ash-Shu'ara: 4).

27 - Among them is: from Ali ibn Bilal, from his father, who said: This mentioned hadith is narrated without any words from Wahb ibn Munabbih, and he added: O Fatimah, when the world becomes full of confusion and turmoil, and the trials increase, and the paths are cut off, and some aggressors attack one another, there will be no elder to spare a younger one, nor a younger one to show respect to an elder Then, at that time, God will send the Mahdi from your descendants, who will open the fortresses of misguidance and the hearts that are sealed. He will uphold the religion in the last days as you upheld it in the early days, and he will fill the earth with justice as it was filled with oppression.
28 - And among them: from Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) delivered a sermon to us and mentioned what is to come, then said: If there were only one day left in the world, Allah, the Exalted, would prolong that day until He sends a man from my descendants whose name is my name. Then Salman stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah, from which of your descendants will he be? He replied: From the descendants of this, and he pointed to the head of Husayn (peace be upon him).
30 - And among them: from Hudhayfah, who narrated that he said, "Woe to this Ummah from the kings of tyrants! How they will kill and drive away, except for those who show obedience to them. The believer, the pious one, will deal with them using his tongue and flee from them with his heart. When Allah, the Exalted, wants to restore Islam in dignity, He will break every arrogant tyrant, and He is All-Powerful over what He wills, and He will set right the Ummah after its corruption. O Hudhayfah, if there were only one day left in the world, Allah would prolong that day until a man from the Ahl al-Bayt rules, with the signs of the Day of Judgment in his hands, and Islam will prevail. Allah does not fail in His promise, and He is swift in account."
33 - And among them: from Ali, who said: I asked, O Messenger of Allah, is the Mahdi one of us, the family of Muhammad, or from others? He replied: Rather, he is one of us; he will seal the religion as it was opened through us, and with him, they will be saved from trials as they were saved from polytheism through us. Through us, Allah will bring their hearts together after the enmity of trial, just as He brought them together after the enmity of polytheism, as brothers in their religion.
