They said, "O Messenger of Allah, we saw you doing something with al-Hasan that we did not see you do with anyone else." He said, "He is my fragrant flower from this world, and this son of mine is a master. Allah may reconcile through him two factions."

When he raised his head, he would take them from behind, holding them gently, and place them on his back. When he bowed again, they would do the same until he finished his prayer, then he would sit them on his thighs. I then stood up to him and said: O Messenger of Allah, should I not return them? Then a light flashed, and he said to them, "Join your mother." He said that the glow remained until they entered their mother’s presence. This was narrated by Ahmad and al-Bazzar with brevity, and it was stated that it was on a-dark night, and the men of Ahmad were trustworthy.

37688 - We were also around the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) when Um Aymaan came and said: "O Messenger of Allah, al-Hasan and al-Husayn have gone astray." That was during the late part of the day, he was saying: "the height of the day." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "Stand up and seek my sons." Each man took a direction facing him, and I took one towards the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny). They did not remain in that state until they came to the foothill of a mountain, and there were al-Hasan and al-Husayn, each clinging to the other, and a lion was standing over them, tail raised, with something like fire coming out of its mouth. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) hurried to them, and the lion turned, addressing the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), then it became a man and entered one of the chambers. Then he came to them, separated them, and wiped their faces, saying: "By my father and my mother, you are what is honored to Allah." Then he lifted one of them onto his right shoulder and the other onto his left shoulder. I said: "Blessed are you both! What excellent mounts you have!" The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) replied: "And what excellent riders they are," and their father is better than them.

37693 - Narrated from Jabir who said: I entered upon the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) while he was carrying Hasan and Husayn on his back and walking with them. I said: "What an excellent camel your camel is!" The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) replied: "And what excellent riders they are."

37705 - Musnad Shaddad ibn al-Had Dhi Rasulullah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was called for prayer and he emerged carrying Hasan or Husayn. He placed him beside him and then prostrated in the midst of his prayer, prolonging the prostration. I lifted my head from among the people, and there was the boy on the back of Rasulullah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny). I lowered my head again and prostrated. When Rasulullah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) completed the prayer, the people said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, you performed a prostration in this prayer that you had not done before." He replied: "No, it was not that, but my son mounted me, and I did not want to rush him until he fulfilled his need."
37706 - Also: From Abdullah ibn Shaddad, from his father, who said: Rasulullah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) appeared before us in one of the afternoon prayers, or during dhuhur or asr, carrying Hasan or Husayn. The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) advanced, placed him down, and then said Takbir to begin the prayer. He then prostrated between the two units of his prayer, prolonging the prostration. I lifted my head, and there was the boy on the back of Rasulullah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), while he was in prostration. I returned to my prostration. When Rasulullah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) completed the prayer, the people said: "O Messenger of Allah, you prostrated between the two units of your prayer, prolonging it, until we thought that something had happened and that it was being revealed to you." He said: "None of that was the case, but my son mounted me, and I did not want to rush him until he fulfilled his need."

37709 - Narrated from Abu Huraira, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was praying the evening (Isha) prayer, and Hasan and Husayn were leaping on his back. When he finished praying, Abu Huraira said, "O Messenger of Allah, should I not take them to their mother?" The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) replied, "No," and then a flash of lightening appeared, and they continued to be in its light until they entered their mother’s presence.
37710 - Narrated from Abu Huraira, who said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) in the evening (Isha) prayer, and whenever he prostrated, Hasan and Husayn would climb on his back, and when he raised his head, he would do so gently. Then, when he prostrated again, they would return. When he completed his prayer, he seated them in his lap. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, should I not take them to their mother?" A flash of light appeared, and they remained in its light until they entered their mother’s presence.
