22818 - Husein ibn Muhammad narrated to us, saying: Israel narrated to us, from Maysarah ibn Habib, from al-Manhal ibn Amr, from Zirr ibn Hubaysh, from Hudhayfah, who said: My mother asked me, "How long has it been since you saw the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny)?" I said to her, "For such and such a time." Then she took hold of me and insulted me. I said to her, "Leave me, for I will go to the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) and pray the Maghrib prayer with him, and then I will not leave him until he asks forgiveness for me and you." So I went to the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) and prayed the Maghrib prayer with him. The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) then prayed the Isha prayer and turned away, and I followed him. Then something obstructive (ʿārid) confronted him, and he engaged in private supplication (najwa) with it, then it went away, and I followed him. He heard my voice and said, "Who is this?" I replied, "Hudhayfah." He said, "What is it with you?" I informed him of the matter, and he said, "Allah has forgiven you and your mother." Then he said, "Did you not see the obstructive thing (ʿārid) that confronted me earlier?" I replied, "Yes." He said, "It is an angel from the angels who had not descended to the earth before this night
who asked his Lord for permission to greet me and give me the glad tidings that al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the leaders of the youth of the people of Paradise, and that Fatimah is the leader of the women of the people of Paradise" (peace be upon them all).
