- .... He said: Some historians stated: The correct view is that the one she named was his wife, Ja'dah bint al-Ashtath ibn Qays al-Kindiyyah, and that Yazid ibn Muawiyah, upon him what he deserves from God, ordered her to do so.

- .... Muhammad ibn Salam al-Jumahi narrated to us, from Ibn Ja'dah, who said: Ja'dah bint al-Ashtath ibn Qays was married to Hasan ibn Ali, and Zayd discreetly sent word to her to name her son Hasan until he could marry her. She did so. When Hasan died, Ja'dah sent to Yazid to ask him to fulfill what he had promised her. Yazid said to her: "By God, we did not approve of you for Hasan. Would we approve of you for ourselves?", and there are many other witnesses, chains, and sources for these two accounts ....
